Although Rebecca turned 15 during our Wisconsin trip, we celebrated with family a couple weeks later.
Grandma made a fabulous cake, as usual.
And, Aunt Nay is always a pro with the lighter.
Did you notice the AirVenture Windsock Rebecca found at Oshkosh?
We’re thankful the Lord has blessed us with Rebecca’s smile for 15 years!
We’re also especially thankful that Aunt Nay could join us. She was diagnosed with cancer shortly after Rebecca’s last birthday party and recently finished several difficult treatments. Praise God, she’s cancer-free now!
Rebecca invited family members to bring their firearms for some target practice. That’s her idea of a party:)
Uncle Ron couldn’t come, but he lent his skeet thrower. Both Rebecca and Christian successfully shot the clays Dad tossed!
I think even Uncle Matt enjoyed this redneck party!
Thank you, family, for celebrating Rebecca’s birthday with us!
Our 20-year celebration continued at Apache Trout Grill, which overlooks Grand Traverse Bay.
While waiting for an opening in the dining room, we lounged on the deck, watching the
seagulls lakegulls and watercraft. So peaceful.
Here was the view from our dining table just barely inside the restaurant. Those accordian-style glass doors were a brilliant design choice, in my opinion. A terrific view of the bay!
By the way, my Caesar Salad with shaved Parmesan as well as the Fish & Chips were delicious, but Terry reported his burger to be rather ordinary.

Rebecca was especially creative in her plating of our delicious chicken on this particular Tuesday.
Perhaps she’s been watching a bit too much Iron Chef?
