Before final matches commenced, drive teams from the 2 standing alliances shook hands. The team captain of the RoboDawgs, wearing the 7th-seed jersey, was present with our alliance even though their robot was no longer competing. We were up against the 4th-seed alliance, led by the Radical Jays #5231. Yes—we were battling against the nearby rookie team that we’d been mentoring all year!

Between finals matches, our pit captain brought a fresh battery to the field as there was no time to return to the pits.
