Here is the main core of Team 4819 with a couple mentors. They’re posing with the robot and a practice field truss after another evening of preparation for their coming competition.

You’ll have to ask Rebecca why on earth she’s sitting on an exercise ball with her violin.

A local printing firm donated this amazing signage for our robot. Thank you, again, to our many sponsors!

Okay, I do just have to ask. Why IS Rebecca and the other robot building girl holding their violins?? Curious minds want to know!

  2. Rebecca says:

In FIRST there is an award called the Chairman’s award, which is given to one team at each competition. In order to apply for that award, teams must give a presentation to to FIRST judges. During that presentation, teams must show a short video. My friend and I played our violins for the background music in that video. Although we did not win Chairman’s at Kettering University a few days ago, we did win the Industrial Design award!
