Near 4 o’clock, by the time we arrived at Empire Village Park, winds increased, temperatures dropped, and skies threatened even more.
Christian briefly left the warmth of the car to snap pics with his Nexus 7.

Choppy waves created majestic music.
I believe those bluffs to the left of this pic are the ones our brave children climbed.
Empire Village Park is nicely landscaped and clean. Although it is close to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, it is managed by the village of Empire and requires no admission fee.

Finally, raindrops chased us to the car. Farewell, Lake Michigan.
