Our local government hired contractors to clear out this creek which winds through our family land and many other miles of our township. The creek is officially called a “drain,” and apparently it was so clogged by overgrowth that it wasn’t draining properly through the countryside.
I don’t have before photos because I’d never been all the way down to the clogged creek. Terry tells many tales of escapades in and near the creek as he grew up.
Golden wasn’t sure what to think of the creek.
“Let’s go this way, instead of across, Dad.”
Terry and the kids look forward to hunting along the banks of the creek, now that they’ll have a long, open, straight shot.
