We had selected this random Wednesday for a beach day. Since Terry must request his vacation days no less than 2 weeks in advance, we can’t just wait for a beautiful weather day and take off. We woke to rainy and overcast skies, but Terry said he was NOT going to work. We might as well head to the beach anyway.
I still enjoyed hearing the waves gently lapping the shore even though Lake Michigan’s waters were calm that day.
At least the rain had ceased as we drove 2 hours southwest of our home to Muskegon.
I believe that is the South Breakwater Lighthouse.
On this relatively cool, overcast day, there were probably more gulls on the beach than people.
The air temperature was barely 70*, with the Great Lake much chillier, so Becca didn’t stay in the water for long.
Christian elected to remain in street clothes, but he stepped into the water a bit.
He bored a hole in a plastic cup and drizzled lake water through the opening.
Abandoning any thoughts of swimming, Rebecca began shaping sand.
Fog gathered on the lake.
A castle for our Princess:)
A sand-drizzled key?
Farewell, foggy Lake Michigan.
