We had selected this random Wednesday for a beach day. Since Terry must request his vacation days no less than 2 weeks in advance, we can’t just wait for a beautiful weather day and take off. We woke to rainy and overcast skies, but Terry said he was NOT going to work. We might as well head to the beach anyway.

I still enjoyed hearing the waves gently lapping the shore even though Lake Michigan’s waters were calm that day.

On this relatively cool, overcast day, there were probably more gulls on the beach than people.

He bored a hole in a plastic cup and drizzled lake water through the opening.
