Praise the LORD from the earth,
you…snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and…wild animals.
This lively snow leopard was our favorite animal at the zoo. Prowling and leaping—what a show!
As snow flakes began to swirl, we concluded our mountain zoo visit. Here was our view of Colorado Springs from zoo grounds (about 6800 ft. elevation).
I would heartily recommend Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to any families visiting the area. Although I wish the weather had not been so cold and windy, I don’t think we would have enjoyed climbing the side of the mountain in 90* heat either. Maybe someday we can return in moderate weather. Admission to the zoo would normally have cost our family $50, but a military discount reduced our rate to $42.
