This year our Christmas tree was elusive. Terry and the children drove through family land on several occasions seeking the “right” one. At one point Terry said he couldn’t find any appropriately-sized trees.
Terry finally selected one that he cut off several feet above the ground. It was still much bigger than my 3.5′ diameter guideline, but so beautiful that I allowed it in the house without being trimmed further.
Rebecca wanted to decorate immediately. Instead she and Christian performed rag duty. They spread old towels beneath the tree to absorb the melting snow.
Did you forget about me?
