Green Stripes

Our children have been studying Tae Kwon Do for nearly 2 years. They recently earned green-striped belts.

Christian and Rebecca kicked THROUGH the boards they’re holding!

A stance in green-belt form.  The children in this row are all home educated.  92 people (both children and adults) tested on this day in April, and at least 17 of them were homeschoolers.

Christian voluntarily demonstrated the tonfa and staff weapon forms even though they were not required for his belt/age level.

I caught Christian’s board-breaking kick, but sadly missed Rebecca’s. It’s difficult to click the camera button at just the right moment!

Christian received his belt and certificate from Mr. McNeill, the founder of Gateway Martial Arts.

Amidst many tall boys, Rebecca examined her new belt.  She was apparently confused to see this year’s new belt design 🙂

Great Job Kids! One of these day’s I’ll have to take time off work to come see you practice (in class, not just around home as you both tend to do).
