note:  this recipe was okay, but our family consensus was that we don’t particularly care for shitaake mushrooms:)


Tuesday–Election Day

p: purchase farm-fresh eggs / bake muffins & brownies

b: oatmeal muffins

l: out—inexpensive, Feingold-acceptable choices from Wendy’s

s: 5:00 [expect Dad late from voting after work] / Baked Pork Tenderloin (on sale this week) / Seasoned Potato Chunks (use 6 taters)



b: leftover oatmeal muffins

l: leftover pork / steamed peas OR chicken noodle soup / saltines

s: 2:30 / Braised Ribs (using western-style ribs on sale this week) / baked potatoes / brownies

note:  this new-to-me pork recipe was delicious—the entire family gobbled it quickly!



p: mix frosting and bake cake

b: cold cereal

l: pbj

s: 9:00 / Crock Pot Baked Ham (on sale this week) / 4:00 / leftover baked potatoes / cake

[Mom & Button eat @ 5pm—library event @ 6pm]



p: thaw seasoned venison strips for tomorrow’s fajitas; bake muffins

b: cold cereal or toast

l: Amy’s Alphabet Soup / saltines / canned pears

s: 4:00 / Potato Chip Chicken / salad / fresh pineapple / cake



b: Chocolate Chip Muffins

l: 10:00 / Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

s: 4:30 / venison fajitas / pineapple / snickerdoodles



b: leftover Chocolate Chip Muffins

l: leftover Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

s: 4:30 / Chili Mac / Fritos


Available Snacks

apples with Caramel Dip

air-popped popcorn

boiled eggs

mozzarella cheese sticks

animal crackers

rice cakes with peanut butter

graham crackers

homemade juice popsicles (forgotten in the freezer ~ will the children actually eat these when it’s only 40* outside???)
